Excellent Reinhard,
I love the wedge idea and the steel corners to really lock everything together.
Where do you get the waterline measurement for each frame. I have looked over the plans and cannot find them ?

Hi Jim, they are on the frames sheet in the plan pack from Janusz (not got it in front of me at the moment, so can't get the sheet number of this particular one). I think its marked something like 'KWL' - dimensions to the waterline from a datum on the frame is clear from the drawings. From putting the stringers on the frames recently, everything seems bang on - the stringers are very fair when in the notches pre-formed by the cnc kit with the frames lined up waterline to waterline.

Hi you can also measure it off the jig drawing provided with the Kit. You can measure both waterline and height to the top of the frame. I used them both as double checks. Then dry fitted the bunk sides as a final check, before removing them. (And still managed to twist the frame a little that I have had to correct lol). cheers Peter

Thanks guys,
I've been concentrating on the kit plans and forgetting about the original plans, so I need to keep cross checking both. Finally I have my ducks in a row and hope to get frame building this week.

Hello all from Hull builder #29, Where can WE fund the plan with the dimension to build the strongback because I Did Not find it back? It's first to build a 1:5scale model, before my house will be sold (I will After live on my minivan) then I will be able to afford the construction Price of the Real one. Cheers to all

Cheers to all There is a strongback plan for the CNC Kit but it is not totally the same for Plan builders...on one frame....but it is very simple...even with the plans there is no set plan for a strongback as all you need are two solid runners that are parallel as long as the boat and a distance apart that you decide to have your vertical post mounts for the frames...so you build your frames and set your "posts" to match the two runners....so for a model it will be the same...you can decide and frame spacing is up to you to match as your runners take them anywhere...lots of measuring...good luck!
