Hi Don. I notice from the the images on the Facebook Class Globe 5.80 page that none of the holes on any of the parts have been countersunk. While some of the items could be installed with a regular hex head bolt, other items like the chain plates 'normally' would be installed with countersunk machine screws. This creates a nice tidy flush finish. If the items are not going to be supplied with a countersunk feature from the factory, are we free to 'modify' them and install this feature ourselves or are we locked into hex head bolts for the install of everything?
Thanks.

Hi....Janusz has specked Hex heads?..I am OK with the Hex heads but ONLY on the stem and Cap/Lower Chainplates they could be tapered but if the head is recesses below the surface they would be rejected ..they are in sheer so ok to do that, will make a note on the next builders update...but NOT for Keel Bolts, or Running backstays.. Thnks

For chainplates, Button/dome/round head Allen/socket bolts could be a good solution. Same shear as hex head, similar tensile strength. Not as clean a finish as countersunk, but better than hex head.

Hi
Wasn’t in a position to order in the first run of stainless steel.
Looking forward to seeing them arrive for those that ordered.
What’s the timing for the next “run”?
I can see I can order but when are the cut off and delivery dates for the next batch?
Thanks
Peter

Hi...Orders for the builders 1-51 have now finished for the bulk order, which is being delivered, so the 33% discount price is no longer available...for builders 52 -101 will be able to order from 1st Dec. till 1st January 2021 then with delivery end FEB. Anyone outside that order window can order anytime, but will pay the full normal price and delivery is available three weeks from order. thanks and all the best.
