Pffffffft !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One month has gone since this thread was created and no comments at all ....... This forum seems to be sleeping like the walt disney film with the "princess splipping and waiting for his charming Prince" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So motivation have gone to follow this and also none of the builders blogs are updated ( apart the one from this nice and brave guy in Nederlands) No updated news also on various FB page of both Races !!! So why to follow Vraiment dommage

There was a lot of activity in the leadup to the first 5.80 transat, as everyone was building at the same time. For this transat, activity may increase as it gets closer, but there are only two entrants currently building for the transat. one is quite active on facebook, the other is updating his blog regularly. The other entrants either finished building a while ago, or bought their boats complete. It is typically taking 2 years for most to build their boats. some are well over that and many have dropped off entirely. I think excitement tends to wane over time and so does posting about the build on the internet. It is true that in many cases builders blogs are no longer active or have not been updated. It is a requirement of class certification to complete the blogs and keep them online for 5 years, so presumably, builders will have to do that when they are finished.

,,Yes for sure all you stated is evidently shown on the net for some one interested to follow this class but nothing moves !!! all pagebook pages are stuck with very old post !!! You stated also "It is true that in many cases builders blogs are no longer active or have not been updated. It is a requirement of class certification to complete the blogs and keep them online for 5 years, so presumably, builders will have to do that when they are finished." The main reason is probably there is nobody from the team organiser doing sort "a months survey " of all those blogs so all builders who started one are not concerned to achieved their blog story and pobably more than 70/100 of started projects are on old in barns or watever garage .... Sudying all those blogs one by one you can also understand that after the big "mode" to built on beginning of that story all "passion" have been diluted in the normal life due to no more Covid so they have to move back to work and also so few entrants into the first race so people was probably disapointed ?? Otherwise who know whre all this will finish ?? 200 hundred drawings sold and only 7 entrants !!!!! very hard ratio due to what reason?? guess who can reply !!!! Personnaly am not more inclined to follow this and try to help some entrant as I was stating some month ago in apost !!!!
