I'm gearing up to purchase a kit from B&B in the next month or two. I plan to start building in the spring. I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on the add-on options that B&B has. I'm a novice, so at first glance, it seems to make sense to consider them. Have others purchased some/all? In addition, has anyone purchased add-ons after buying the boat kit, to spread out the cost? Attached is a screenshot of what they offer (taken from their website). Thanks!

Will save you a lot of work buying everything but sometimes the work is the best part. Nothing looks outrageous for price from what I paid. The epoxy is a great deal.

Hey there and welcome to the little 5.80 family! I ordered my kit from B&B and got all of the options you’ve selected except I did not get the epoxy kit and I did order the cnc cut rudder. The kit is high quality and all of the parts were well made. With limited time to work in the evenings and weekends I felt it was worth it to spend a little extra on pre fabbed parts. Cheers and have fun building! #157 ‘Casero’

Thank you for the replies, very helpful! I've gone ahead and reached out to Alan at B&B and just put a deposit on the kit.

I bought everything that B&B offered and it was great. I had to buy more epoxy, and had to buy more fairing filler. The only thing that I'd say might be optional is the daggerboards/stabilizers/whatever you want to call them. You could decide to fit a couple of laser rudders, or some other arragement for that.
Keep in mind that there's plenty of shaping of ring frames and floors and everything else. Since all of the parts are cut with a router, all of the cuts are square, and you'll have to shape every frame, and every stringer pocket to fit nicely. This isn't a model car kit that you snap together.
The only mistake that I made and I see other people making is thinking that when you turn the hull over, you're halfway. NOT A CHANCE! Make no mistake, you're nowhere near halfway. It's a great milestone, but not halfway.
All in all, a ton of fun, a ton of work, and super satisfying, but the road is long. Have fun and enjoy the ride.
