Hi Builders,
The template sheet for the size of the oak beams that came with the cnc pack is confusing me. The size of the notch on the template is 5mm to 8mm smaller than the 50mm x 22mm stringer. Has anyone else had the same problem? The solution appears to be be to make the notch larger on the oak beam so the stringer will fit. Thanks you for anyone who can help.

The CNC machine/router that cut out the beams makes only perpendicular cuts. So, it makes the cutout small (maximum material condition) so that angles can be cut to fit the stringers properly.
Basically, there is an edge (and the edge changes based on position in the cutout) that is locationally perfect, and material has to be removed to accommodate the angle of the stringer as it passes across the floor beam. It will become more apparent as you start placing stringers.
It's a long fitting process but it's kind of the only way to do it.
