Hi All
I've finally got the boat on the water! The design is spot on, the water lines are perfect. The Seldon mast is great and standing rigging is plug and play. I was able to tune in a great mast bend. All very positive. First sail tomorrow, can't wait.
I tested flew the A5 Asymmetric and the sail luff seems longer than the torsion rope, in that you cannot get a nice tight luff the sail. Has anyone else had this problem, or is it a problem? My first thoughts are there are strings to tension the luff, but as the torsion rope looks to be too short they don't achieve anything? So basically making it less effiecient on a reach ?
Thoughts welcome. I'm sure some of the transatlantic sailors had a similar issue.
Regards Joe

Yep - exactly the same problem with mine too Joe. I tightened up the luff with the lashings as much as possible, and it helps a lot, but I think that Severin may have even had to have the sail adjusted to make it fit properly. Good luck with the first sails! Excited to see some pictures! out of interest where are you launching her, south coast or elsewhere? Pete

Hi Pete Quantum are getting the sail adjusted on a corrected torsion cable, so all should be good. Good service ! First real sail on main and jib went really well. Handles well, got 5.5 knots upwind in 14 knots true, then with the A3 up we got 6.5 knots off the wind. Was in the harbour so fairly flat and no surfing. I put the A3 on a top down furler and that worked well. Only had an hour or so, but will get out next weekend for some more. Launched in Poole Harbour. Getting it ready for round the island race later in June. All in all the boat is coming along really well and sails really well. My blog has issues with photo loads, will get that solved soon! Cheers Joe

Quantum replaced the torsion cable and fixed a small issue with the furling job, all under warranty. Great service, so thank you!
