Help....some builders are stressed about how best to set up a simple and free 5.80 builders blog...some of the current blogs are really slick with pictures, video and cool designs...but we need the best suggestion for ordinary people not computer geeks? to meet the requirement of 5.80 Class certification....So who can give builders the best advice for simple loading pictures, with captions and text...that is free....and offer advice to help the builder set up...Thanks... Here is one enquiry facing just such frustrations... Im having a problem with setting up a builders blog. I understood that blogs could be free but I've spent several hours setting up sites, on 3 or 4 occasions to find that they want more and more money. Im not very tech savey and the whole thing makes furious. Any suggestions on what i can do? No problem keeping a photographic record with details. I'm ok with Google Drive /Docs and Facebook ect. kind regards ,Thanks for advice and help!!!

Hi...without going too far into it...NO...as it is not searchable and needs to be found by a URL for all to follow...so we are after a traditional simple FREE blog for dummies ...like me...but jane does all our web stuff...lol...Thanks

What about right here on the forum? Have a separate section for Build Blogs, have each person who wants one on here start their own thread and continue to add photos/ description as they build? Maybe post any questions for the builder to a separate thread to keep some continuity, but not essential?

I have used Google blogspot for years. Totally free, simple to set up and several templates to use.

I'm an IT professional so for me most tech-related stuff is easy. My practical advice for those who are blogging for the first time, want something that's easy to get started with, simple, not too finicky and doesn't have way too many customisation options - go with blogger.com. It's also legit FREE and as far as I know won't ever hassle you to upgrade to a paid plan.
